  1. Portuguese are mad about food and wine, but in Minho you will notice this more than anywhere else in the country. They like to eat well, and always drink the best wines of the region. The most common dishes you will find in the region will be the roasted veal “barrosã” and the local roasted lambs, raised in the Cabreira Mountain. You can also taste the pork and sausages dish with kale, beans and potatoes. This region is also famous for its corn bread that traditional families still cook on their wood stoves.
